On Saturday, March 28, members of the Pushmataha County Sportsman Club competed in a bass tournament on Sardis Lake. The morning started off with temps in the mid-forties and a stiff breeze. The lake level was slightly below normal. Twenty-one members competed in the tournament. Thirteen anglers were able to catch a five fish limit and two anglers were unable to boat a single keeper.
Billy Hensley had a good day by catching both the
heaviest stringer and the heaviest bass. Billy won the tournament with a five
fish limit that weighed 17.45 pounds. His big bass weighed 5.65 pounds. Finishing
in second place was Johnny Ivey. Johnny
had a stringer weight of 15.33 pounds.
